Day numba 7!

Hello! Today is the end of day number 7 and even though I haven't posted every day I'm doing really well!!!
I weighed myself today (I would like to start weighing in every Monday) and guess what?!?!

I'm at.....

210!!!!!

That's -6 lbs!!!!

Yaaayyyy!!!

My immediate goal is to try and lose 30 lbs in 10 weeks, I thought 3 lbs a week is very possible and so far so good :]

Soo since I'm talking about my goals I wanted to chat about some of the ones I want to achieve within the next year..

#1. First and foremost... I soooo badly want to run a marathon. I am not a runner nor have I ever been but I think I could be if I really push myself I could do it!! Soon enough I will be starting the couch to 5k program!

#2. My weight I would love to be numbers wise would be 140.. the weight I think I would be very happy with and healthy would be 160 (that's what my drivers license says.. HA!)

#3. I have a pair of pants I have had for probably 7 years that are a size 9 (they have never been worn!).. I have been wearing "plus" size and double digit pants for a looongg time now and cant wait to fit a size 9!

#4. SELF CONTROL!  So many times when Ive dieted Ive cheated and then given up for that day and eated everything in sight! Obviously that's not going to work! I know I will eat fast food again one day or really fattening ice cream which is ok! in moderation! So one day I will be able to stop myself instead of eating till I'm so full I cant walk.. lol

#5. Be 100% confident in a bikini! Like every other women right?! Well I'm young and I want to be able to strut around in a bikini before I have kids! :]

#6. Get healthy before I get married or have children. I want to instill my healthy habits on my family!

#7. My boyfriend being able to pick me up or give me a piggy back ride without me being scared of breaking him :]

I think those are some good ones for now and very possible!

Breakfast
BIG bowl of cereal (3 cups of multi grain cheerios!) - 6pts

So I'm at 22 pts and have 4 left :]

I'm getting good at this!

Day numba 3! and a donut... yikes!

Hello everybody! Day numba three and going strong... besides the donut I ate! Yikes!
Well let me explain....
Sooo I work in a bakery as a cake decorator. Well sometimes I help out by closing.. well today was one of those days... wellllll when we close we take all of the donuts for the day and mark them down.. dozen for 1.99.. what a deal huh?! (its always the bad food thats inexpensive :[ ) well after we box up all the dozen donuts they dont always come out even so the last couple usually get eaten by employees or tossed.. well I was trying sooooooooooo hard not to eat one today but I was veery hungry and they smelled soooo delicious.. so I broke down.. and I had.......... 1/8 of it!!!
So yes I did have a donut BUT I cut off a very small part and ate it! Although I did give in Im proud that I was able to have a very small part and my craving was gone!

Well my diet was not really anything interesting today since I got off so late so Im not gonna post it today! I did however use all my points which is 26 and 3 of my weekly points which is 35 and now 32!

Well off to bed! night night!

Day #2!

Good Evening! Today was day number 2 and I'm happy Ive made it that far! lol! I work in a bakery so that in itself is hard! Do you know how many free samples we have?! or how many delicious smells come from our oven?! It really should be illegal BUT I suppose it is all good if you eat in MODERATION! which is something Ive struggled with in the past but doing well so far!
Anyway, this morning I weighed myself... and since I did want this blog to be a no holds bar of what I am going through I guess I will need to post it...

I'm 5'5... I'm "suppose" to weigh anywhere from 125-140lbs... (I remember weighing 130lbs in 8th grade and be devastated). In high school I was very active as a cheerleader but did not really watch what I ate and I weighed 170lbs then... As of today... February 1, 2011.. I weigh...........................

216lbs..... :[ boooo O well that is why I am doing this! I want to be healthy and live my life!

So now that that's over with lets move on to my day :]

Breakfast:
Bread: 1 pt
3 egg whites: 1 pt
Ham: 1 pt


Snack:
Banana: 2 pts

This I didn't like much so I will not post the recipe. If you would like it please let me know :]

Herb crusted red snapper: 6pts
Steamed carrots and zucchini-0pts  (this was sooo good!)

Since I didn't like my dinner much I didn't eat it so instead I had some walnut and date oatmeal with a handful of raisins

Oatmeal: 2 pts
Raisins- 2pt

Total points (including dinner)

Day #1!

Today was my first day getting back on track with my health! I feel really motivated and excited! I'm also looking forward to posting my progress on here!
Anyway, I'm following the old weight watchers point system right now. I will be going to the meetings eventually so I am looking forward to that.
I wanted to create this blog to keep track of progress and I guess have some accountability. Even if no one reads this it seems to help me rather than just write it in a book. So there may be some boring parts.. like writing what I'm eating daily :] but also some fun stuff like yummy recipes and fun workouts.
Well on with my day.
 This is what I started off my day with
Multi grain cheerios-2pts
Fat free milk- 2pts
large banana-2pts
a couple blackberries-1pt

Lunch:
Bread-1pt
lunch meat-1pt
yogurt-2pts
string cheese-1pt

Snack:
Pickle-0pts

whole wheat crackers-2pts

Dinner:
Orange-crumbed baked chicken: 6pts

Mashed sweet potatoes-3pts

Total: 23 pts.

2 tbls Orange Juice
2 tbls Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 C whole-wheat cracker crumbs
1 tbls grated orange zest
1 shallot, finely chopped
1/4 tsp ground pepper
4 (3oz) skinless boneless chicken thighs

1. preheat oven to 350 F; spray a nonstick baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray
2. In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, mustard and salt. On a sheet of wax paper (I used a casserole dish) combine the cracker crumbs, orange zest, shallot and pepper. Brush the chicken on both sides with the mustard mixture then dredge in crumbs. lace the chicken on the baking sheet. Bake 15 mins turn over and bake until cooked through, 15-20 mins longer.


Point value-3pts per thigh.
